Beef Empire Days Inc

This traditional rodeo provided a "free to public" event that drew over 6,500 people. This allowed us to highlight the many skills used by feedlot cowboys and cowgirls in their daily activity and helped us promote beef and our industries to the general public. We were also able to showcase local athletes in this sport that has been missing in our community for a couple years.

The beef empire days parade is an event that draws a large crowd from the community and includes over 100 entries. Parade floats are prepared to the theme of beef empire days and to show support for the area economy in beef. The parade has community leaders, state and federal leaders attend, and meet the garden city area residents. The parade also honors one area resident for their assistance in the beef industry as the grand marshall of the parade. It is followed with chuckwagons in the park - a community free feed highlighting our beef and dairy products and serving 2000 plus free meals.

The other programs and events for the community and beef producers to attend to promote the beef industry. The events offer a place for community members to socialize and be educated on the beef industry. This includes chuckwagons in the park, meats contest, cattle working, cattle crawl at local restaurants and a carnival.
