Silver sneakers classes for seniors: these classes are designed specifically for seniors and focus on development of core strength, balance, flexibility and muscle strengthening through exercises designed to fit the participants' levels of physical ability. Classes are taught by certified instructors who specifically focus on training for older adults with sometimes reduced physical ability levels. Participants do not pay any direct fees but their health insurance carrier pays a fee for each class that they attend as part of the carriers' programs to encourage health and wellness for their insureds. Program expenses consist of compensation paid to instructors.
Pilates trainging program: this program provides pilates training on pilates reformers for class participants with a focus on core strength, balance and development of muscle strength. Classes are taught by certified instructors who are trained in use of this equipment. Participants are charged a class fee and instructors are compensated for each class taught.
Rock steady boxing program: rock steady boxing program is for individuals suffering from parkinson's disease. This program is conducted by instructors trained and certified in the rock steady boxing program to assist individuals suffering from parkinson's disease in developing and maintaining strength and balance to facilitate their daily living skills and quality of life. Rock steady boxing participants were charged a fee per class, but the total revenue amounted to -0- for the current year. Yoga instruction: yoga classes are offered several times each week with a focus on improving balance and core strength for senior adults. As with most of the other classes, this emphasis is particularly important to senior adults both to prevent muscle injury and falls as well as to assist in post-injury rehabilitation. Members pay a fee of 5 per class. Total revenue is 5,735. Expenses consist of compensation paid to instructors which is a total of 10,947. Remaining expenses and revenues are other items related to organization's exempt purpose.
