ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION/GRANTS - THE LODGE RECIEVES GRANTS FROM THE ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION WHICH WE THEN USE TO FURTHER COMMUNITY PROJECTS. This year we provided cold weather gear, baked goods, and art supplies to the Veterans home in Monte Vista, additional resources for food insecurity during the holidays, jackets and cold weather gear for local children as well as books and toys at the holiday. Our members also donate to the Elks National Foundation through the lodge which provides for similar community engagement throughout the country.
Youth activities/scholarships - the lodge raises money for various youth events throughout the year including grants from the state elks association which we use to help children who in need with school supplies, clothes, and necessities as well as supporing our local hoop shoot and scouting programs. The lodge also provides scholarships to graduating seniors in surrounding communities.
