Emerging artists programthis is a program to encourage and support young musicians by providing access to educational opportunities, special instruments in their field of choice, and contacts in the world of musicianship. Seventeen awards were given this yearwith varying financial amounts.
Van waynen awardsthis is a performance competition for young musicians. There are often up to 30 competitors. A juried panel evaluates the performances and awards are given both financial and general recognition for outstanding performance. Award winners are invited to perform at a special performance at the clubhouse facility which is open to the public. The van waynen competition is an every other year activity.
