To champion equitable public education for students, families, and our community.

The Schools Fund awards grants for educator-initiated projects that aim to support students' essential needs, promote health and wellness in school, and boost academics and love of learning. Grant projects ranged from attendance incentives and family nights to in-class programs and all-district celebrations.

Expenses: $405K

The Schools Fund offers STEM enrichment programming for 500+ K-12 students in out-of-school-time spaces (summer, weekends and school holiday recesses) in partnership with Berkeley Unified School District. Programs include our fall and spring 6-Saturday Super Science Saturdays program and our Winter & Spring Break STEM Camps for elementary schoolers, our 4-week summer Maker Camp for middle schoolers, and a STEM Mentorship program that gives high school students paid job opportunities to mentor younger students in our STEM programs.
