RENOVATION OF TWO AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS IN BESSEMER - WE ARE REQUESTING $100,000 TO CARRY OUT MUCH-NEEDED REPAIRS TO TWO EXISTING HOMES LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM OUR NEW CONSTRUCTION. WITH MINIMAL INVESTMENT, WE CAN HELP THESE LONG-TIME BESSEMER RESIDENTS, WHO ARE LMI, HAVE A SAFE AND ATTRACTIVE PLACE TO LIVE WHILE IMPROVING THE APPEARANCE AND DESIRABILITY OF THE ENTIRE BLOCK. THE IMPROVEMENTS WE PROPOSE FOCUS ON THE HOMES EXTERIORS. THEY INCLUDE NEW FENCING AND LANDSCAPING, AS WELL AS NEW ROOFING AND SIDING, ENSURING THESE HOMES REMAIN SAFE AND HABITABLE WHILE CONTRIBUTING POSITIVELY TO THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD.
