In addition to the above activities and/or programs, the bureau has been involved in automobile arbitration cases on new automobiles with major automobile manufacturers and other arbitration cases that could be handled in small claims court otherwise. it has participated in advocacy and educational programs in partnership with the USPS, FTC, local libraries, sent out numerous fax scam alerts, bureau staff have appeared on several local television stations on consumer related issues, and served a multilingual community through english/foreign language brochures and newspaper outreach and education programs to benefit the consuming public of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and religious affiliations.
