The mission of Better Health, Better Life is to help people in our communities transition to a healthier lifestyle. Through classes, workshops, and other events we show people the many benefits of making healthier choices.

Dump Dairy: Better Health, Better Life holds a month-long campaign to empower community members to replace dairy, a food known to cause adverse health outcomes in the community. Programming includes cooking demos, live videos, lectures, a tasting event, and providing resources and mentoring for those trying to move away from animal products.

Yearlong Activism and Community Building - Throughout the year Better Health, Better Life holds smaller events including food tastings, cooking demos, panels, interviews, and livestreams, virtual happy hours, tabling at events, support groups. and publishing helpful articles and guides. This year those included a popular Plant-based Food Tasting, National Egg(less) month, virtual vegan happy hours, support groups, bi-weekly newsletters, recipe ebooks, a virtual holiday celebration, and more. The events engaged tens of thousands of participants in our community over the course of the year.

Vegan Activism Support - Throughout the year Better Health, Better Life provides support to vegan activists and organizations doing work that furthers the education and promotion of veganism in the community. This support can include funding, mentoring, event sponsorships, written resources, and training.

Grants: $2K

Earth Month - Each April, during Earth Month, Better Health, Better Life offers workshops, recipes, and resources to help make climate friendly and environmentally sustainable choices more accessible in our communities.
