Mission

Beyond the ball is an organization that uses the power of sport and play to reclaim space, unite the community, and develop a culture of opportunity, through which we cultivate hope and change lives.

Programs

2 programs

Public space work: our public space work, which includes project play and our little village, emphasizes the importance of publicly owned places in creating safe spaces for the community. Through these initiatives, we cater to over 4,500 unique individuals throughout the year with numerous activations. These programs foster a sense of community ownership, improve the perception of safety, and provide engaging activities/refreshments that bring people together in a supportive and secure environment.

Expenses: $252K

Strategy: our strategy program is a collaborative initiative where we partner with city partners, local organizations, and elected youth to create a strategic plan of work. Through this initiative, we hold monthly convenings to gather insights and collect data from local organizations to better support the needs of our youth and community. By collectively creating surveys and obtaining data, we are able to strategize more effectively together.
