Big Spring Ymca

With participation in organized sports programs, howard county adults and youth further develop physical skills and acquire professional guidance for development of mind and spirit through individual and team competitions in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. 586 howard county residents participated in the ymcas sport programs during 2021.

One of the core fulfilling programs conducted by the ymca is its childcare program. The program is a united way supported function ad served 44 big spring and howard county youth in 2021. The program consists of all day and after school supervision for children of working and student parents. The program is inherent in achieving the ymcas mission of developing strong body, mind and spirit in the youth of howard county through the supervised activities within the childcare program.
