Mission
The Bigfoot Trail Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is working to support the establishment of the 360 mile route through the Klamath Mountains to celebrate the regions biodiversity. The BFTA fosters a community committed to maintaining, promoting, and protectingin perpetuitythe Bigfoot Trail.

BFTA has a challenge cost share agreement with the US Forest Service and then a supplemental project agreement with the Klamath National Forest to lead trail maintenance efforts in areas impacted by wildfires. BFTA contractors are leading volunteers on 5-7 day trail work stints in the Klamath NF.
The BFTA has a challenge cost share agreement with Shasta Trinity NF for post-fire recovery work on specific trails within the National Forest. So trail clearing, log cut outs, rebuilding trail thread.

Six Rivers National Forest
With funding from the Rose Foundation, the BFTA and the Backcountry CCCs completed trail maintenance on six miles of the Kelsey trail in the Siskiyou Wilderness.
