Biomedical science careers program, inc. ("bscp") was incorporated in july 1994, and was organized to assist students of every race, ethnic background, gender, and financial status to enter careers in the fields of medicine and biomedical research by providing them with opportunities to meet with established professionals in their chosen career fields, creating mentoring relationships, and providing career educational advice. Bscp accomplishes this by sponsoring conferences and seminars for students, in addition to providing scholarships to students who meet certain established criteria.

Launch of bscp scholarship to support student transitions. 2 scholarships awarded in 2024.scholarships awarded to 5 students in 2024. 4 hope scholarship and 2 vetex biomedical science careers scholarships. The total paid out in scholarships during 2024 was $50,162. The covid relief fund was created and launched january 2021 and transitioned to the educational relief fund in 2022. Educational relief fund is given to certain bscp members up to $1,000 each. The total paid out in 2024 was $24,451, which was allocated to 38 students.
