Mission
As doulas we offer support throughout the pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum stages of birth with due respect for culture, race, religion, gender and beliefs. We train members of our low income community to become vital professional doulas.
Programs
2 programs
Doula Training- In 2024 we had two rounds of comprehensive doula trainings. One, in English, trained 17 doulas. The other, in Spanish trained 25 doulas.
Baby Showers and Family Support - In 2024 we had 3 baby showers with 20 families each. We offer baby supplies, diapers, wipes, infant tubs, blankets and many other baby support items. We held 200 hip closure ceremonies, weekly prenatal classes attended by a total of 54 participants, weekly infant massage classes 20 families, Abriendo Puertas parenting classes Two 10 session cohorts of 25 parents each.
