Black Music Action Coalition Inc

The black music action coalition (bmac) and the academy of country music (acm) launched "onramp," an economic empowerment and mentorship program for 20 young, black members of the music community, including artists and industry professionals, in nashville, tennessee. The on ramp program works to create inclusion for black talent who have historically been excluded from artistic and economic success within country music, despite a legacy of origination and contribution. The onramp program, focused on improving inclusivity and equity within music city, aims to empower the next generation of leaders in the early stages of their careers by granting access to professional development opportunities, community mentorship, and other avenues to increase personal growth, industry exposure, exclusive bmac membership panels. Through music maker grants, mentorship programs and music business education programs bmac has created access, opportunity and job placements for emerging music industry professionals. The bmac on ramp program provided economic empowerment with monthly support and ongoing mentorship to an underserved community of artists and professionals in tn. Bmac impact events and convenings serve to create narrative change. Bmac directly supported communities through the holiday gifting program.

The black music action coalition (bmac) worked in partnership with tv host nick cannon and his next superstar tour 2023 to provide a nationwide slate of grants for emerging music artists. The tour and correlated grants were a celebratory, empowerment journey for the rising stars of music's next generation. Bmac put out a nationwide application for emerging artists to apply in their hometown as the tour came through. Bmac worked with a coalition to identify bmac x future superstar grantees in 17 cities. Grantees received grant funding, a next superstar educational seminar, and the chance to participate in a next superstar show with headlining talent performing. In addition, bmac was proud to provide mentorship programming for grantees and the opportunity to participate in bmac music industry events
