The club was organized to acquire, own, develop, construct, operate and maintain a private sailing club with dining, residential, recreational and marina facilities and to purchase and sell boating accessories and marine products for the comfort, convenience, and pleasure of members.

Sailboat racing is an integral activity of the club. Its has activeparticipants in both performance handicap racing formula (phrf) and onedesign racing. The club has a large contingent of san juan 21s andensigns that participate in local and regional one design racing.
