Mission

Bloom's mission is to empower georgia's families and communities to transform the lives of children impacted by foster care.

Programs

1 program

Bloom recruits, trains, and supports a network of foster families and gives them the tools they need to provide exceptional care to the children they take into their homes. Bloom is licensed to serve basic level foster children, as well as foster children with significant therapeutic issues, medically fragile foster children, and pregnant or parenting foster teen girls. To ensure families who join bloom's foster care team have the character and high standards required, bloom performs rigorous background checks, interviews, and home studies. Additionally, bloom provides year- round training through bloom university (bloom u) where foster parents receive the training they need to provide healing for traumatized chlidren. Bloom foster care also provides respite care breaks, support groups, networking opportunities and referrals to community resources. Family consultants maintain low caseloads to ensure personalized attention and a staff member is on-call 24/7 to provide support if a crisis should occur. Bloom celebrates the work of foster parents, and supporting them is crucial to providing positive outcomes for the children in their care.
