Bric operates a medical and dental clinic in the dominican republic. Its purpose is to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the general public. During the year, several thousand people were served at or through clinic operations. Minimal fees are charged for these services. Most medicine is dispensed at no charge to the patients.
Bric supportes one school in haiti. Students are fed one nutritious meal during the school day. Grade levels range from kintergarden through sixth grade. Several hundred students were enrolled in the school.
Bric drills wells for communities and other charitable organizations in haiti. This has been a major focus of brics program activities in haiti. During the year, bric was unable to drill any wells because of safety concerns for its staff. Fees are charged for drilling to help offset the costs of the drilling program.
Bric not only drills wells, but also maintains the wells that they have drilled in the past. Bric has a work crew that is available to repair wells as problems arise. Minimal fees are charged for these services to help offset the cost of the program. Only a few wells were able to be serviced this year because of safety concerns for its staff.
Bric operates a foster program for girls that assists needy haitian girls with their education including helping them with tuition, school supplies, books, shoes, and uniforms. Additional social, educational, and spiritual activites are planned on a periodic basis for the girls to participate in.
BRIC operates a girls discipleship program in Leogane. The purpose of the program is to share the redeeming love of Jesus Christ to disadvantaged girls in Haiti and to provide occupational training so they can contribute to their society while earning an income for themselves and their families.
Brics other programs include operating one school in the dominican republic and providing support to a haitian church located on their base near port-au-prince.
