Mission
The Bluegrass Golf Foundation, Inc. ("Foundation") promotes and advances the game of golf as an amateur sport through tournaments and special events. Education about options and expectations for intercollegiate competition is provided publicly. The Foundation supports programs dedicated to youth development promoting golf and its life enhancing values. Planned activities include an extensive schedule of events for junior golfers with education programs available periodically.

A total of 83 additional tournaments consisting of open or invitational events were conducted in 2024. Each event contributes to expenses based on tournament expenses to host facilities, awards, processing fees, information technology, travel expenses, and other event related expenses.
Bluegrass Cup is a Foundation event that takes place at the end of the season supported by donations. The participants earn their spot in the Bluegrass Cup through their placement on the Player of the Year lists in primary age Divisions. A banquet recognizing the Players of the Year and Stewart Gregory Award winners takes place during this event. Proceeds from the event support the Playing for Mason Foundation with a check of $393 presented to the charity partner.
