Supplement traditional science and math education with enhanced experiences including laboratory experiments and outside instructors. Provide support for non-traditional, specialized courses in math and biomedical sciences in collaboration with case western university faculty. Provide students with a broad exposure and view of medical science and its direct application to health through frequent seminars. Provide support for background on health and medicine as well as ample professional development opportunities for teachers that focus on innovative instruction in science, math and medicine, including evaluation strategies that incorporate formative as well as summative assessments. Incorporate writing into science and math courses to develop and promote student communication skills.
