Bonita house inc.'s supported independent living (sil) service team provides intensive outpatient mental health and case management services to individuals with co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders who live in alameda county. Sil offers an array of services to support clients in maintaining basic everyday needs, including housing, and in finding meaningful roles and activities in the community. Participants have access to behavioral rehabilitation as well as psychiatric medication support and assessment. The service team assists clients in building skills that allow them to attain an optimal level of autonomy while living in the community of their choosing. The sil service team consists of licensed clinicians, mental health rehabilitation specialists, a licensed vocational nurse, and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (pmhnp) who utilize principles of integrated dual diagnosis treatment (iddt), an evidence-based practice, as part of the foundation of all services.

Wellness centers:the wellness centers provide a safe, inclusive environment with activities that enhance well-being and recovery, and provide socialization in a caring community that fosters self-sufficiency. With locations in east oakland and berkeley, each center is an entry point to system recovery/supportive services for people with a broad range of mental health needs and co-occurring conditions. The programs offer creative expression through art, and participants are encouraged to design their own wellness program based on their interests and goals. Services include linkages to housing, benefits, and primary care; case management; homeless outreach and nutrition support; and a full array of peer-driven support groups, recreation, wellness, and recovery programming.

Permanent supporting housing program provides long-term permanent housing to up to 33 low-income adults who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and living with serious mental health challenges. Supported independent living support services are designed to help clients experience independent, healthy, and satisfying lives in the communities of their choice.residential treatment program: the dual-diagnosis residential treatment program is uniquely designed to serve up to 16 adults living with both serious psychiatric and substance use disorders in a 24-hour residential setting. Bonita house inc.'s staff is cross-trained in evidence based integrated dual diagnosis treatment (iddt) practices that address both metal health and substance use intervention, treatment, and recovery. Bonita house has been considered a leader in the field of dual-diagnosis treatment, both locally and nationally, for over 30 years. Our residential treatment program is the only program of its kind offered in alameda county.services are person-centered and collaborative, and include ongoing assessment, evaluation, and stabilization; an intensive day treatment program; dual-diagnosis recovery and other groups; and individual mental and behavioral health counseling. The focus is on enabling residents to build the skills necessary to increase their ability to function in the living, learning, working, and social environment of their choice.the calworks (california work opportunity and responsibility to kids) phoenix skills program provides services for clients and their families experiencing mental health challenges that create barriers to employment and education. The phoenix skills program utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to improve the coping abilities, concentration, motivation, and self-esteem of clients. Services include mental health and substance use counseling; help with identifying strengths and work interests; guidance through the process that leads to a job interview; information and access to community resources to support and maintain mental health; and support for gaining or furthering education. The calworks team supports clients and their families to attain self-sufficiency and their fullest potential.the bridges to recovery in-home outreach team (ihot) program provides short-term outreach and engagement to individuals with serious, untreated mental illness in an effort to link them to behavioral healthcare and other community services tailored to their complex needs. The ihot team uses a trauma informed, sensitive, and culturally responsive approach that considers the client and the family's pace of change. Family members are prominently included in engagement and planning, and are encouraged to participate in a variety of supports to assist them and their family members, while addressing their own needs and stressors.
