Mission

It is the mission of the boy scouts of america and the del-mar-va council to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of scout oath and law.

Programs

2 programs

The del-mar-va council provides critical support through our scoutreach program, which brings the scouting experience to underserved communities by eliminating barriers such as cost and transportation. Camp scholarships are made available to ensure that all youth, regardless of financial circumstances, can attend camp and participate fully in scouting activities. The pursuit of higher education is encouraged through the award of scholarships for college and career education to eagle scouts for up to four years.

Expenses: $63KGrants: $63K

Funds raised by the del-mar-va council support a wide range of high-impact outdoor programs designed to provide youth with enriching, hands-on experiences in nature. This includes our resident summer camps, day camps, weekend adventures, and year-round programming at facilities such as akridge, henson, and rodney scout reservations. These experiences promote self-confidence, leadership, and independence in a safe and structured environment. Our council ensures that all programs are inclusive and reflect the core values of scouting through engaging activities and trained volunteer leadership.
