Animal health centers - the bvspca believes strongly in providing accessible and affordable veterinary care for all pet owners regardless of income level or social status. By providing this accessible care, pet owners in the service areas of the brandywine valley spca's 6 animal health centers are less likely to surrender their pets or neglect to provide necessary veterinary care due to financial contraints. In 2024, the brandywine valley spca performed 31,027 spay/neuter surgeries, provided 3,044 free pet vaccinations, and performed 24,612 pet exams through animal health centers.of those 31,027 spay/neuter surgeries performed, 4,685 were provided through the humane society of harrisburg area which the brandywine valley spca merged with at the end of 2024. They are also the providers of 638 of the free pet vaccinations provided and 4,876 of the pet exams performed.
