. . . And participating in coalitions like the fossil fuel divestment coalition and the last chance alliance. ------------- critical analysis and thought leadership we expanded our work on the climate crisis, developing educational materials that connect extreme weather events to breast cancer risk. Our think before you pink campaign continued to challenge pinkwashing and corporate profiteering. At the san antonio breast cancer symposium, our team provided critical analyses of new treatments and inequities in breast cancer research, sharing insights through blog posts on topics like financial toxicity and racial disparities in outcomes.

Stopping breast cancer before it starts prevention remains a cornerstone of our mission. This year, we disseminated materials linking fossil fuel pollution and breast cancer risk. As active members of coalitions, we pushed for policy changes to phase out fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. Our work with the industry documents library highlighted how industries manipulate science and public opinion to obscure the links between environmental exposures and breast cancer. See schedule o for more information on our programs

Demanding health justice we advocated for equitable access to quality breast cancer care, supporting federal legislation like the metastatic breast cancer access to care act. Our community-driven initiatives, such as the california initiative to prevent breast cancer in immigrants, examined systemic and social determinants of health, culminating in actionable strategies to improve outcomes for underserved populations. Unbiased, patient-centered resources we continue to be a trusted resource for those affected by breast cancer, providing unbiased, evidence-based information to support informed decision-making. This year, we revised and updated fact sheets on topics such as environmental links to breast cancer and navigating a diagnosis. Our compassionate team offers one-on-one support, ensuring that patients and caregivers receive the guidance they need free of industry influence. Breast cancer action remains steadfast in addressing the root causes of the breast cancer crisis while advocating for systemic changes that promote health justice and environmental sustainability.
