Caring for children complements our birthday outreach by providing year-round essential care items. We deliver full-size hygiene kits, snack bags, and comfort items like sleeping bags and blankets to schools so they can maintain care cupboards for students in need. School counselors report that these kits help students come to class clean, nourished, and ready to learn. In 2024, this program distributed over 350 hygiene kits and 530 snack bags each month.
Caring for babies extends our mission to young mothers and their newborns. We provide essential nursery items to support homeless and under-resourced teen mothers so their babies can have a healthy start. Each kit, valued at $150, includes items like diapers, wipes, blankets, bottles, and baby care supplies. In 2024, we partnered with local schools and shelters to reach pregnant and parenting students and families in transitional housing.
