Mission
The Brotherhood of Elders Network is an intergenerational network of men of African Ancestry who foster environments where Black boys and young men are empowered to flourish. We advocate for males of African ancestry from infancy to adulthood. We leverage our resources and relationships to benefit Black boys.We maintain and preserve the health and wellness of our families and communities.
Programs

Black Doc Village focuses on raising awareness about the disproportionate dismissal of Black resident physicians and using research to inform policy change. Our mission is to expand the Black physician workforce in order to improve health outcomes within Black communities.
"Healing Generations Institute (HGI) trains communityhealth workers, promotes familial community healing,and addresses community strife through culturally-based healing circles as communal spaces for emotional,psychological, spiritual healing, and collective support."
Umoja Health - has screened more than 100 people for hypertension, diabetes and cancer and supported the training of 26 summer interns in community health, public health and health care. BOEN has also supported the introduction of cancer clinical trials withing Alameda Health System to improve outcomes for Black and Brown families facing cancer.

Together, we are addressing systemic inequities and building a future where Black residents can stay,return, heal, prosper, and build power."
