Brown sugar stitchers quilt guild fosters the art, history, and culture of quilters of color. The guild donates quilts and sewing services to the community.

Juneteenth celebration atlanta history center brown sugar quilters partipated in the juneteenth celebration for the public at the atlanta history center. The members displayed quilts, presented quilt talks, demonstrated sewing and quilting methods, and worked on a make-and-take quilt block project with adults and children. Members shared history of the organization and quilting as an art form.
Childrens healthcare of atlanta sickle cell donation quilts brown sugar stitchers keeps alive the tradition of african american quilting through outreach, education, research, and interaction with other quilting artists. The organization donated 56 quilts and arm pillows for the comfort of children with sickle cell disease.
