Mission
Healthy Buffalo is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2009 with a single objective: to create a healthier and more vibrant community. We do this by creating unparalleled sporting events for the community, running world-class, charitable sports clinics for children, administering a free informative website about all things health and fitness in WNY, and by providing marketing and logistical support for other community organizations that share the same ideals.

The Healthy Buffalo Youth Basketball Camps are a beacon of opportunity in Buffalo, New York. Open to all children in the community, the camp provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where kids can come together and learn the game of basketball while building valuable life skills. The program emphasizes not only the fundamentals of play such as dribbling, shooting, and passing, but also teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience. These attributes are essential for personal growth and help nurture confident, well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to their community. It inspires children to achieve excellence in sports while instilling values of discipline, respect, and unity. As these young athletes progress, they carry with them lessons that translate into academic success, civic engagement, and personal confidence creating a ripple effect of positive change that elevates the community as a whole.
Healthy Buffalo's men and women adult leagues stand as dynamic pillars of community empowerment in Buffalo, New York. As part of its ongoing mission to create a healthier and more vibrant community, Healthy Buffalo organizes adult sports leagues that extend far beyond the boundaries of competition. These leagues are crafted to foster physical fitness, mental well-being, and robust community connections for adults of all skill levels. Moreover, the adult leagues serve as a natural meeting ground for community building. They bring together diverse groups of individuals across age, profession, and background creating fertile ground for friendships, networking, and shared experiences. This sense of camaraderie and teamwork spills over into the wider community, promoting social cohesion and fostering a civic spirit that benefits neighborhoods beyond the court.
In addition to basketball, Healthy Buffalo offers a diverse range of athletic opportunities including soccer, volleyball, softball, broomball, and floor hockey that promote healthy lifestyles, social connection, and community pride. Together, these sports not only enhance physical health but also cultivate a sense of belonging, break down socioeconomic barriers, and empower community members to lead more active, connected lives.
