Butler Street Community Development Corporation Inc

Backpack program: 150 backpacks were assembled and fully packed with school supplies. These backpacks were distributed to children, from low-income families, in several area schools who otherwise would not have school supplies without the program.

City mural project: the first black policemen in atlanta during de-segregation in the 1960's are depicted in oversized paintings on the front of the historic butler street ymca building. The bottom floor of the butler street ymca was used as the headquarters for these officers, as they were not allowed inside the existing police headquarters.
