Mission

The Butte Rescue Mission is transforming lives in Jesus's name, offering assistance to those facing homelessness by providing food, shelter and clothing to restore individuals and reunite families, empowering them to reintegrate into society as self-sufficient, productive citizens.

Programs

2 programs

The Butte Rescue Mission's transitional program was established to provide the next step toward stability and health for those experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our temporary on-site living program empowers guests to be proactive in their goal of overcoming personal obstacles, gaining stability in their daily lies and progressing toward recovery. We provide individualized case management, access to counseling, job training programs, addiction recovery support and on-site healthcare providers. In 2024, our program helped 32 individuals obtain stable housing and employment, 38 individuals sustained sobriety, 77 obtained addiction recovery and 16 families were kept from living on the streets, including 28 children. Our dedicated staff and community partners invested over 40,500 work hours to our guests in Life Advising, Programming and Academics.

The Butte Rescue Mission's low barrier emergency shelter stands as a vital resource in the Butte community addressing the basis needs of transient and homeless people on a nightly basis. Our facility offers warm, dry beds, food, water, clothing, clean restrooms, showers, and laundry services. As the initial point of contact for those in crisis, the Mission strives to establish a positive connection with our nightly guests in the hope that they can be encouraged to seek continued, more expanded services that are offered in our transitional program. In 2024, the shelter served over 661 unique individuals, equating to 18,114 nights of secure shelter. Other services offered include behavioral health, peer support, and resource navigation.
