Protect georgia muslims: in2024 cair-georgia responded to 240 calls for legal help from georgia muslims, asking cair-georgia to protect their civil rights.cair-georgiafiled 4 title vi civil rights complaints against schools and c olleges for anti-muslim and anti-palestinian discrimination. We supported community members who reported suppression of free speech at workplaces and in public spaces. Our legal department secured a $112,000settlement for a client who was starved and denied religious accommodations such as halal meals, access to prayer times and prayers mats at dekalb county jail. Cair-georgia effectively advocated for prayer rooms to be reinstated, for false disciplinary charges against students to be expunged, and for teachers to receive anti-bias trainings. Cair-georgia sent 114 advocacy letters on behalf of georgia muslims to educate and inform universities, school districts, workplaces, prisons and jails statewide about muslims religious rights.

Empower georgia muslims - in 2024, cair georgia held 28 know your rights trainings to share knowledge about constitutional religious rights with the muslim community. We trained over 600 individuals statewide on how government works and to advocate for themselves. We co-organized muslim advocacy day in georgia where over 100 community members met with their elected officials. We held over 50 meetings with elected officials to share georgia muslims concerns and voices.
