Mission
The purpose of caeha is to improve the quality and scope of environmental health programs throughout the state and to promote the efficient and effective implementation of local eh programs by supporting the california conference of directors of environmental health (ccdeh) through outreach, education, advocacy and grants.
Programs
1 program
Caeha serves as the advocacy arm of the local environmental health departments and unified program agencies (cupas). As a practice, caeha follows the formally-adopted positions taken by ccdeh and the cupa forum board on legislation, policy, and rulemaking pertinent to environmental health matters and it advocates in the california legislature and executive branch accordingly. The caeha board reserves the right to review any such position and establish a different position, should it deem necessary, only after consultation with the ccdeh executive committee, the ccdeh executive director or cupa forum board.
