Violence and abuse are both criminal justice and public health priorities. The california forensic medical institute (cfmi - formerly ccfmtc) project is dedicated to building expertise and a strong collaboration that brings together the disciplines of nursing, medicine, criminal and juvenile justice systems, and forensic science to approach these complex problems and to improve the healthcare response to victims of interpersonal violence.

Cdaa publishes an array of trial practice manuals and guides, as well as a quarterly journal featuring articles written for prosecutors by prosecutors. Cdaa publications are available in traditional print format as well as electronically for prosecutors to access through our website.
