Communications: the farm bureau communications/news services provide information to the membership and the general public through radio, television, newspaper, magazine, and website. The purpose is to present agriculture's viewpoint to the media when it is needed. The weekly publication, ag alert, emphasizes the analysis of legislation, capitol events and market news.

Insurance programs: these programs provide commercial, home, auto, life, and workers' compensation insurance services as well as financial, retirement planning, and retirement plan services to our farm bureau membership.

Monitoring current state, national, and international agricultural issues impacting california producers. Reporting on issues through the issue advisory committees to county farm bureaus and the membership. Analyzing commodity related state and federal legislation, regulations and then making recommendations to the cfbf board of directors.representation of members at the state and national levels of government. Includes work on legislation and regulations affecting taxes, education, water, land use, energy, labor, pesticides, transportation, commodities, and air quality among other issues.
