California Federation Of Womens Clubs

The club raised funds and gave direct donations to 24 charities in and around carlsbad, ca, enrichingcommunity resources, childrenss lives and the environment.

We are fuduciarie for the Helen Allen Memorial Nursing Scholarship. This year we expanded our giving from one to three nursing programs. We also provided $1,000 scholarships to five local graduating seniors.

We provided $2,239 for supplies and 6,569 hours of support to over 20 local charities this year: Meals on Wheels-touching over 700 seniors in our community, ongoing food bank support, holiday Angel Tree with Salvation Army-giving to over 500 economically disadvantaged families and sewing over 200 comfort pillows to surgery patients. We also support civic groups such as: First Responders, Village Academy teachers, and various local organizations supporting and preventing domestic violence and human trafficking. Plus, we have a close relationship with Carlsbad High School, including club support and sponsoring an annual art contest. Another 6,016 volunteer hours were dedicated to fundraising, member education, and social activities needed to build strong club relations inside and outside of the club. Totaling 12,585 volunteer hours. All remaining revenue was designated to our building reserve fund. Our club house was built in the 1960s and needs major ADA remodeling
