The protege must be supported and current perspective challenged, but proteges are required to find their own answers. Mentors seek to build confidence and independence by actively listening, sharing perspective, and providing alternatives. Proteges must take full responsibility for their professional growth and career development to reach the next stage of their career. Cohort 20 has 21 proteges each paired with a mentor, and cohort 21 has 18 proteges, also each with a mentor making a total of 39 proteges, each matched with a mentor.
