Programs
2 programs
The Partnership's policy and research program provided technical assistance, training, and education related to the preservation and production of affordable housing in California. In 2024, these efforts included expanding our preservation efforts by examining naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) in California and the potential risks factors related to NOAH properties losing their affordability for low-income Californians. We continued to expanded use and outreach for our online research tools by updating the tools and providing trainings/webinars for various partner organizations. Lastly, we entered the third year of our university-level fellowship program geared towards improving access and mentoring opportunities for racial/ethnic minorities in the affordable housing policy and research field, having hosted eleven fellows in the three years.
The sustainable housing team implemented four major clean energy incentive programs, provided technical support to nonprofit housing providers to help them and the low-income residents they serve access clean energy funding resources, and advocated for increased funding to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in affordable housing throughout California.
