Founded in 1934 by a group of speedboat enthusiasts California Speedboat Association struck a deal with the Port of Oakland and constructed a waterfront clubhouse on the shores of the Oakland Estuary Today that land is occupied by Estuary Park Early members of California Speedboat Association included the great 20th Century industrialists and innovators Henry Kaiser Kaiser Aluminum Stanley Dollar Dollar Steamship Lines Lou Fageol Twin Coach Company J Philip Murphy Hudson-Pacific-Murphy Company and Dan Arena Arena Craft Today California Speedboat Association strives to honor promote and sponsor vintage and historic speedboat events and regattas
