Sponsorships and community engagement:cambridge office for tourism's tdmd oversight committee has maintained its commitment to supporting local community events, receiving and approving 11 requests for sponsorship funding that have supported community-driven events. Awarded sponsorship funding ranged from $1,000 to $35,000 throughout fiscal year 2025. Sponsorships were awarded to the head of the charles regatta, the cambridge jazz festival, the innovation trail of cambridge, jerkfest, cambridge carnival, smoke this ribfest, taste of chocolate, and "your light is central", among others. Our office is also a member of the cambridge 250 committee to amplify citywide events and celebrations. In addition to promoting 250th activities to a broader audience through cambridge office for tourism marketing efforts, we are also enhancing visitor engagement through our own revolution-themed scavenger hunts on the scavify app. The cambridge office for tourism remains a strong advocate for cambridge business associations and the businesses and programs they support, providing visitor data, digital marketing support, and sponsorship. The office is also a member of the cambridge 250 committee to amplify citywide events and celebrations for the 250th anniversary of america's independence.

Increased trade show and industry event presence:recognizing the importance of attracting international visitors and meeting/event planners, cambridge office for tourism expanded its participation in both international and domestic trade shows throughout fiscal year 2025. These efforts resulted in over 6,000 meeting planner leads which were forwarded directly to hotel sales teams for follow up. Increased engagement at key industry events, with organizations such as the massachusetts office for travel and tourism and meet boston, has also strengthened relationships with international travel professionals, establishing cambridge as a preferred destination for business and leisure travel.cambridge business association support:the cambridge office for tourism remains a strong advocate for cambridge business associations and the businesses and programs they support. The tourism office continues to amplify their efforts by fulfilling monthly visitor data requests through placer ai (funded in fy25 by a massachusetts convention center authority grant), promoting events and activities across digital channels and the visitor information center, providing $19,000 in sponsorship funds.
