Field leadership: efforts that advance the public purposes of highereducation nationwide. This includes research, publications, public policy advocacy focused on key issues of higher education community and civic engagement. Our field leadership projects also include innovative projects that seek to innovate the field through research and practice integration. This also includes our work in partnership with other organizations or coalitions that advance the larger field priorities.
Member impact: efforts that advance civic and community engagement on our member campuses and key constituents including faculty, staff, students, and campus executives. It includes awards for excellence in engaged scholarship and practice; our student civic leadership fellowship; and convening focused on best practice and high-impact interventions; training institutes; community engagement professional credential program; publications; national conference; and sub-grants to members for programming that advances the quality and breadth of higher education engagement.
Communications - includes activities and functions that support our ability to share our story, our purpose, our resources, and information about the organization with our member institutions, state and regional affiliates, and external audiences. Communication expenses include: costs associated with our website; software for meetings, gathering, and sharing information; graphic design; podcast and video production; and print materials.
