Water Systems Kenya CDK finished the construction of 6 sustainable school/community water systems in Kenya. These are providing direct access to clean water for 10,582 students and connected community members every year in addition to school staff and thousands more community members within walking distance. The expected lifespan of each water system is 20-25 years. We also commissioned 3 additional public school systems that were completed prior to this tax year. CDK sent US teams from Minnesota and Illinois to commission 7 systems and assist schools.
EDUCATION Ukraine, Kenya In Kenya, CDK continues to work with the 76 public schools in which we installed water systems since 2013. We sponsored 75 students at risk and orphans. In addition, 5 students we sponsored graduated from high school or college. Several of our graduates are now working and supporting students themselves. In Ukraine, CDK continued to support the work of the Hanna English School and funded a 100 expansion of its facilities. CDK also continued to support in-country Ukrainian ministries to children and families impacted by the war. With other partners these involved 400 kids.
