Mission

Cancer Alliance Network, Inc provides non-medical financial aid for basic living expenses and vital support programs for local children, adults, and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Programs

2 programs

Cancer Alliance Network (CAN) offers comprehensive support programs for cancer patients including case management, cancer support groups, nutrition/cooking classes, referrals/resources, cancer care kits, client respite events, wigs/headdresses, and mastectomy bras/breast prosthetics. Clients in these additional support programs do not need to meet income eligibility or active treatment criteria that is needed for financial aid. All support programs are free of charge. When a family joins CAN, staff strive to address their needs, even those beyond the direct services offered by CAN. Staff research and refer clients to other community organizations as needed and help with completing applications. CAN partners with local agencies to provide support and ensure successful outcomes for clients.

KidsCAN provides community service opportunities and leadership development for high school students in Collier and Lee Counties. High schools can have a chapter or individual students and any high school student can join. Chapters are led by a school staff, who is the liaison between the school and Cancer Alliance Network (CAN). These chapters or individual students help to raise funds and provide on-going support for CANs mission. KidsCAN members participate in volunteer and community service activities with CAN and other partner non-profit organizations in the community. Members also volunteer with CAN staff to organize and participate in fundraising and client events throughout the year.
