Mission

The mission of this organization shall be the encouragement of rifle and pistol shooting and marksmanship skills development with a view toward a better knowledge of the safe handling and the proper care of firearms. It shall be our further mission to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance, which are essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of good citizenship and true patriotism, especially among the youth of our community.

Marksmanship activities:the following are marksmanship activites carried on by the club:1.) national and regional pistol competitions: the frank j. Bickar memorial regional pistol championship, the distinguished center fire service pistol championship, and the distinguished .22lr excellence in competition match2.) state championships: the governor's trophy pistol match and the ohio state championship pistol match3.) cmrpc pistol league (tuesdays) and stark county pistol league (thursdays) 4.) nra pistol matches (sundays) 5.) defensive pistol league (tuesdays) 6.) defensive pistol matches (monthly) 7.) junior pistol program (mondays)8.) bench rest league (mondays) 9.) ara bench rest matches (alternating saturdays) 10.) smallbore rifle program (wednesdays)11.) high-power rifle matches (monthly) 12.) junior sporter rifle (saturdays) 13.) junior air pistol postal match (sundays) 14.) junior rifle league (ages 12 and over), (tuesdays)15.) individual open shooting

Other cmrpc activities:1.) boy scouts - scouting programs for marksmanship development and related skills. 2.) supporting the law enforcement community- hosting training events and encouraging service firearms practice.3.) adaptive rifle and pistol shooting - designed and provides innovative shooting benches that allow shooters with physical disabilities and youth to safely participate in cmrpc rifle, pistol and benchrest programs.4.) archery - designed for scouting programs, etc....5.) trader's day- an annual one-day swap meet to buy/sell shooting equipment and supplies. Proceeds from the event go to junior shooting programs to assist in the purchase of shooting equipment.6.) boy scouts - outdoor learning providres the prepared for life curriculum.
