School-based therapy services School-based therapists delivered 6,173 sessions of physical, occupational, and speech therapy to school-age children in 20242025. The majority of students were served in person.
Rainbow Corner Preschool enrolled 38 children in 20242025; 29 students received financial aid and/or scholarship assistance. In addition, the Toddler Developmental Playgroup served 10 participants.
In fiscal year 20242025, CAREs Community Outreach Services benefited 1,944 children and 831 adults. These services included:Pro bono social work, therapy, and educational servicesFamily support and engagement programsSchool scoliosis screeningsDevelopmental screenings for young children, including kindergarten entry screeningsFamily and school consultative servicesWheelchair fittingsProfessional trainings and family education programs (provided at no cost)This total also includes adults who attended community events where CARE delivered organizational presentations.CARE therapists conducted 405 developmental screenings (scoliosis, social-emotional, fine motor, gross motor, and speech) and provided over 500 hours of pro bono therapy services.Therapeutic Recreation ProgramsA total of 110 children participated in six Therapeutic Recreation programs (recurring participants included). CARE also held 77 sessions of adaptive physical education in partnership with the Bradford Area School District.Child Safety InitiativesCARE reached 1,865 children and adults through child safety programs and distributed 2,110 safety items, including smoke detectors, car seats, and child-proofing kits. Through the Cribs for Kids Program (operating under the Safe Kids PA McKean County Partnership), seven local families received free cribs along with safe infant sleep education.
