The primary exempt purpose of careersource palm beach county, inc. Is crafting and overseeing a workforce development strategy that is responsive to the needs and concerns of employers and job seekers.

Department of labor - workforce investment opportunity act (wioa) youth 2023-2024 careersource palm beach county's young adult program serves young adults ages 16-24. Our program includes career exploration, job preparation, financial literacy, soft skills training, paid work experience, and more. The program also provides young adults with valuable training in hospitality, which is a high demand industry in palm beach county. Upon successful completion of training, program clients are awarded credentials which increase their employability when competing for job opportunities in our community. During program year 2023-2024, the young adult program had a total of 251 active program participants, and there were 76 credentials earned. Fourteen (14) scholarships for postsecondary training were issued in the amount of 75,547.00. In addition, 4 trainees were enrolled in the on-the-job training (ojt) program with a total of 19,020.00 reimbursed to employers. Of the 128 participants enrolled in training activities during py23-24, 87 participants (68%) obtained a measurable skills gain.
Department of health and human services temporary assistance for needy families (tanf) program year 2023-2024. Careersource palm beach county had had 8,827 welfare transition single parent cases (increase of 2,265 cases from py22-23) and 4,789 two-parent cases (increase of 745 cases). Region 21 achieved 26.5% for the entered employment rate (increase of 9.4% from previous py) with an average entered employment wage rate of 16.08 (0.30 decrease).
