Mission
Caring for Cats is a shelter and foster network for cats. We are a no-kill shelter. We provide attention to the whole well being of the cats in our care--physical, emotional, and social--so that they enjoy a long and happy life. We provide the care and resources necessary to bring cats and their human companions together including: A clean, safe shelter that facilitates play, stimulation, and socialization, supported foster families, holistic healthcare for cats' minds and bodies, community events, engagement, education, and awareness.
Programs
2 programs
Caring for cats provides a shelter for cats in need of care. Caring for Cats thoroughly vets all cats who enter the shelter. We provide vacinations, spay/neuter, and any necessary medications and treatment. We care, feed and shelter cats in our shelter building. We carefully match cats and future owners. We accept cats into our shelter and foster homes. We perform adoptions. We also provide a number of programs to engage with our community in the process of providing care for cats.
Caring for Cats provides emergency medical services to cats presenting with emergency health conditions which require immediate attention. Providing medical care to cats in need of care, whether upon intake or for cats currently in our foster care or shelter, helps afford them the best chance of adoption, or eases their suffering when rehabilitation is not possible.
