Mission
It is the mission of caring unlimited to work with the community to end domestic violence in york county. This includes providing support and safe haven to adults and children whose lives are affected by domestic abuse in a manner that honors their essential worth, nurtures their inherent strengths and respects their right of self-determination.
Programs
3 programs
Emergency shelter program: to provide temporary safe haven and support services for individuals in york county who need to flee their homes to become safe from an abusive partner, are homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless due to domestic violence. Each year approximately 100 individuals who are unsafe in their own homes find safe haven and supportive services at caring unlimited's emergency shelter.
Legal services program: to provide lay court advocacy and legal representation for york county victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking; especially help with protection from abuse orders, parental rights and responsibilities and child and spousal support.
Other program services: volunteer services, non-residential services including support groups, individual advocacy, 24-hour helpline, parent support services and bonding activities, community education and prevention programs, resources, and referrals, other programs.
