To build and strengthen the capacity of our community to create a safe, healthy, and drug & gang/crime free environment. To mobilize community efforts to reduce substance abuse and gang activity among youth, and adults over time, in the city of carlsbad and south eddy county.

Samhsa strategic prevention framework-partnership for succes (spf): increase substance abuse prevention infrastructure and capacity;implement evidence-based substance abuse preventions approaches to reduce underage drinking, e-cigarette use among youth and young adults,inclusive of marijuana.
State of new mexico office of substance abuse and prevention (osap/synar): prevention efforts that addresses awareness in the community regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (focus on enforcement of drinking laws and rx pain killer education.
Other ant-drug and positive youth development related programs. Such as teen court, teen outreach program, and sobter truth and prevention of underage drinking.
