Mission

The Carmel Foundation's mission is to support healthy aging by providing meals, housing, wellness activities, and supportive services that help create a healthy, happy, and hopeful senior community.

Programs

3 programs

Meal Programs: We offer Three meal programs, in-housing dining four days a week for lunch, curb-side pickup to go three days a week and home bound meals delivered to members who can't come to the Foundation. Close to 24,000 meals were prepared during the fiscal year.

Member Services: Over 65 interesting classes and activities are provided weekly in areas such as creative arts & expression (art, dance, writing), health & wellness (movement, nutrition, fitness), public educational programs, technology (classes & support), music literature & language, discussion groups & lectures, tours, volunteer opportunities, community service, games and social engagement.

Expenses: $303K

Social Services: Navigating systems like Social Security, taxes and legal aid, connecting members to trusted local resources and services, lending free mobility equipment to support independence, hosting thoughtful programs from holiday meals to monthly visits with the police chief to foster community and build trust.
