The carpinteria arts center's mission is creating a vibrant community through the arts.

The center offered a free 6-month public concert series, 9 monthly arts & crafts faires with a free community art project table, free cultural events,and a holiday festival. The center provided free arts and cultural workshops and performances to under-resourced residents on-site at people's self-help housing's 3 apartment complexes in carpinteria and at carpinteria childrens project. The center provided weekly free arts and crafts classes to carpinteria seniors ages 55+. The center also offered free venue use to 15 local non profit organizations.
The center hosted 6 different community arts exhibits in the gallery which is staffed by a team of 75 community volunteers. The center offered free art receptions, artist talks, and gallery host training and events. The center offered free art receiptions to 3 local schools and 2 local non- profit organizations. The center used the gallery to host the 3-week holiday-inspired "festival of trees" event with the lions club of carpinteria, collaborating with over 20 fellow local nonprofits.
