Agriculture leadership activities the carter county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local acricultural civic & community organizations. Leaders attend district state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications and agriculture activities.

Youth leadership development the carter county farm bureau supports youth ag organizations both financially & with volunteer hours. The organization is a primary sponsor of the carter county 4-h organization. Board members assist with a youth ag retreat where students from several schools go to a directors farm and see how farm animals are taken care of and how crops are grown, taken care of, and harvested. The carter county farm bureau also gives schlorships annually to ag students in the county.
